 Science Mini-Lessons
The goal of Science Mini-lessons are to engage students in short, interactive, and enjoyable activities that tap into the "wow" factor of science.
Mini-lessons are interactive science activities where the students are either performing the activity themselves or are guiding the person performing it.
Each mini-lesson will also introduce important science concepts and focus on a science process skill or an aspect of the scientific method.
To extend the learning beyond the actual activity, we are developing lesson guides for the mini-lessons to facilitate follow-up discussions. These will be available soon.
For planning purposes: Mini-lessons require 20-25 minutes with a maximum of 15 students per group. We can accommodate larger classes by running several mini-lessons concurrently and rotating the students through them. Mini-lessons are offered to middle school students.
