WANTED: Science ALIVE!

The Science Posse is a group of graduate students from the University of Wyoming with a passion for science and education. They share their research with middle and high school students, and seek to inspire an excitement in the sciences among young people.

Through a program called WANTED: Science ALIVE!, our graduate students work with teachers to design demonstrations and workshops on a variety of science topics. They travel to classrooms and present intriguing information from their fields of expertise or inquiry-based curriculum from our CSI: Wyoming or What's in your Water? units, challenging students to discover and explore the science around us.

In addition, the Science Posse takes an active part in the Wyoming State Science Fair, hosts the Exploring Science Summer Workshop, offers excellent opportunities for the professional development of teachers, and provides a comprehensive web resource including graduate student profiles, science education links, curriculum, and news.
